Gallery and the Los Angeles Center of Photography are proud to announce
"Street Shooting in Los Angeles." This exhibit is comprised of 28
photographs taken by 28 photographers under the guidance of street shooting
instructor Julia Dean over a six-month period. Street photography is a
type of documentary photography that captures candid moments on the street.
This genre of photography follows the ethics of photojournalism and documentary
photography by not setting up or manipulating the image. As Julia Dean
explains, "Street photography can be a bit scary and exhilarating at
the same time. But one thing is for certain, it will make you a better
photographer."
