Artist statement: An artist statement is a concise, often personal, piece of writing that helps viewers understand the artist's creative process, intentions, and the meaning behind their work. It's essentially a short introduction to an artist's work, explaining why they create (DEFINITELY IN RELATION TO YOUR ILLNESS). This statement states why you’re making the art- to deal with the symptoms of your illness. Explaining your thoughts about all your work, not one piece. **Please do not describe or interpret the pieces for the viewer—let them react to it in their own way
