MoonArk, a project by Carnegie Mellon University faculty, students, and collaborators including dnj Gallery artist Dylan Vitone, was recently shown at "Hors Piste", the annual festival at the Centre Pompidou in Paris, which this year focused on the moon and its place in arts and culture.
MoonArk will be sending a cylindrical museum to the moon, comprised of four chambers containing images, music, and other objects with the intent "to direct our attention from the Earth outward, into the cosmos and beyond and reflect back to Earth as an endless dialogue that speaks to our context within the universe."
